Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms of sale carefully before placing your order.

Confirmation of Your Order
No contract exists between us for the sale of any goods until we have received and accepted your order and sent you confirmation in writing or by e-mail to the address you have given us. All goods are subject to availability.

Delivery
For all stock orders every effort will be made to process your order within one working day of receipt. All items are then despatched by carrier using the service listed below (or if appropriate 1st class Royal Mail). In the case of special orders and items temporarily out of stock we will advise you of an estimated delivery date as soon as possible. All delivery dates are approximate. In addition to the price of the goods, you will be required to pay a delivery charge as detailed below.

Please note, initial postage on all orders to addresses within the UK are delivered free with nonsale orders over £150! Secondary postage and non offer postage: Lightweight Orders - We will endeavour to send lightweight items by 1st class post to reduce carriage costs. Minimum charge on subsequent postage is £2.50. Subsequent delivery charges due to exchange will be charged at £7.50. International Heavyweight Orders - Multiple item orders may be subject to additional shipping charges. We will advise you before processing your order if this applies.

Product Descriptions
The description of the goods you order will, so far as possible, be as shown in our current catalogue or on our website at the time you placed your order. However, whilst every care is taken by us to ensure that the description and specification of our goods are correct at the time of publication, due to the limitations of photography, broadcasting, browser software, and other factors beyond our control, colour of goods you receive may differ slightly from the brochure or website reproduction. We are also subject to and can accept no liability for changes in specifications imposed upon us by our suppliers. If you are in any way dissatisfied with any goods you receive from us, you may return these in accordance with our returns policy.

No-Quibble Returns Policy
You may return your order for any reason by giving us written notice within 10 days after you receive the goods. If you wish to return any goods under this policy, you must return them to us at the address shown in perfect condition, unused and in their original packaging. When returning items you are strongly recommended to obtain proof or posting. We cannot accept responsibility for parcels lost in transit. We will only refund or provide an exchange for the costs of postage where the item returned is faulty. where items are to be exchanged, non offer postage fees will be charged. We reserve the right not to offer any refund or exchange of any product that has been used or damaged after delivery to you. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Returning Goods to Us
In order to return any goods, please: enclose a letter with the goods, in original packaging stating the reason for return clearly marking whether you would like a refund or an exchange and return it to: Elm Of Burford 48 High Street, Burford, Oxfordshire OX18 4QF England If you fail to return any goods that you have cancelled in accordance with this policy, we may charge you a sum not exceeding our direct costs of recovering the goods.

International Returns
If returned from outside the EU, goods must be marked "BRITISH RETURNED GOODS" and accompanied by an appropriate customs form. Please instruct your carrier to provide the necessary documentation. *Failure to comply may result in import duties being charged to your account

Faults
In the very unlikely event of a fault becoming apparent on your purchase please return it to us with a covering letter explaining the fault. Due to Health & Safety regulations we cannot accept boots/clothes unless they have been cleaned thoroughly. We will refund or exchange faulty items. We reserve the right not to offer any refund or exchange of any product that has been damaged after delivery to you. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Prices
The price of your order (exclusive of delivery) will be as shown in our current catalogue or on our website at the time you place your order. However, they may be subject to change. Every effort is made by us to ensure that the prices shown in our current catalogue or shown in our website are accurate at the time you place your order. If an error is found, we will inform you as soon as possible and offer you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling your order. If you choose to cancel your order we will refund or credit you for any sum that has been paid by you or debited to your credit card for the cancelled goods.

VAT
VAT is only applicable to countries within the European Union. Our registration number is: 630 5487 46

Charging
We will not charge your credit / debit card until your order (or the first instalment of it) is despatched, unless the item that you have ordered is made specially to your order in which case we may charge you a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the price of the item as soon as your order is confirmed. Any customs or import duties levied once the package reaches your destination country will be your responsibility as we have no control over these charges and cannot predict them.

When you order, we will require your name, e-mail address, delivery address(card's registered address), credit/debit card number and card expiry date and CSC code (last three digits on the reverse of your card). A contact telephone number may also be required so that we may contact you urgently if there is a problem with your order. We may, unless you advise us otherwise pass this information to our couriers in case they need to contact you to deliver your order. As part of our efforts to ensure that you are aware of the latest developments and offers, we may also use this information to advise you of new products, special offers or changes to our site.
