The Cattleman Hat
Australia’s favourite Akubra, the Cattleman typifies hats used by farm-hands throughout Australia. A practical hat for outdoor uses, it has eyelet holes for ventilation and an 83mm bound edge brim, which slopes down at the front and back, offering sun protection for the face, ears and back of the neck.
The Cattleman has a supple leather inner sweatband and an ornamental plaited hat band, with brass fittings bearing the iconic Akubra name.
As with all Akubra hats, the Cattleman is hand-crafted in Australia and takes six weeks to make, using traditional, old-school processes which have changed little in 140 years. Made from 100% rabbit felt fur, all Akubra hats are water resistant and offer the ultimate in sun protection.
