Barbour Sapper Wax Jacket in Olive
The Sapper is a military-inspired men’s waxed jacket with a traditional 6oz Sylkoil waxed cotton outer and an exceptionally warm quilted lining.
Barbour’s signature waxed cotton creates a matte finish, protection against wind and rain and a flexible, lived-in feel that gets even better with age, making the Sapper a mainstay of the winter-ready collection. The hardy outer is paired with a lightweight polyamide lining quilted to warm 70g wadding for additional insulation, while the corduroy-lined funnel collar comes complete with a stowaway hood for reliable wet weather protection.
The Sapper also features an action back and an adjustable waist to allow complete freedom of movement and comfortable layering. Multiple pockets ensure hands are kept free and essentials are secure, with contrast Barbour branding trimming the lower left pocket.
Barbour Jackets, Coats and Accessories
Barbour is a truly British brand providing clothing suitable for country pursuits, country living and/ or for those who simply love the country.
John Barbour, a travelling draper, opened his first shop in 1894 in South Shields. Barbour soon achieved notoriety for his oilskin coats, designed to protect the growing community of sailors, fishermen and shipyard workers from the worst of the weather. The business grew over the next century, developing Barbour's classic wax jackets and expanding the range of coats and jackets to include other Barbour clothing, Barbour bags and Barbour ladies and children’s wear.
